or better and then
you go for a walk
and your daughter
asks why there's one mommy
and two daddy ducks
swimming together
your son points and
throws a rock

you buy really big paper
and chunky paint brushes
and primary colors
and white paper plates
and you watch them
paint their hands
mix colors
and do a dance
their so happy

you think it can get any worse
then you have
a better day
